ORANGE COUNTY / PREP FOOTBALL : PREP FOOTBALL GAMES AT A GLANCE : Century (0-0) vs. Santiago (0-0)
7 TONIGHT GARDEN GROVE HIGH
Optimism rings loud at Santiago heading into the season and a preseason No. 10 ranking in Orange County by The Times has fueled the fire. Though the Cavaliers have made the playoffs just twice in the last 12 seasons, they feature a balanced offense with quarterback Brian Pilkington and running back Brandon Perry leading the way. The Santiago offense averaged more than 35 points a game last year. Century has new linemen at every position on both sides of the ball. Running backs Fortino Rivera and Joel Valdez will be counted on to revamp an offense that averaged only 8.4 points a game last year.
