After almost two years of construction, the revamped McPherson Athletic Facility opened Saturday morning, with City Council members and L.A. Galaxy team players in attendance to celebrate five new soccer fields.

The fields will be home to the Orange Junior Soccer Club, with more than 2,500 members. The facility is at 333 S. Prospect Ave.
