Mike Robertson, 51, has been appointed vice chairman of Irvine-based Bates USA West, where he also will oversee the agency’s creative department. Robertson had been handling the Hyundai account from Bates’ New York office since a reorganization in Irvine about seven months ago. . . . Los Angeles-based Miller Publishing Group named Frederic M. Poust president of its sports magazine unit, which includes Tennis, Cruising World and Sailing World. He was vice president and general manager of Miller Publishing.
