*Times’ all-county selections Ray Mietkiewicz of Marina and Andre Stewart of Newport Harbor head the list of players selected to play for the South in the 41st Orange County North-South All-Star football game.

Dana Hills’ Scott Orloff will coach the South and Troy’s John Turek will coach the North. The game is July 14 at Orange Coast College.

BASKETBALL

Todd Johnson, an assistant coach for three years at Cal State Fullerton under Bob Hawking, said Monday he has been hired as boys’ basketball coach at St. Margaret’s High School.

Johnson was coach at St. Mark’s School in Dallas before joining Hawking’s Fullerton staff. He replaces Mark Dawson, who resigned.
