Harvard-Westlake 14, Alemany 12--The Wolverines (9-4, 1-4) collected 21 hits, rallied from a 6-1 deficit and snapped a 16-game Mission League losing streak at Alemany (6-10, 2-5).

Freshman Josh Satin, who had five hits, tied the game with a run-scoring single in the sixth inning, and freshman Richard Irvin, who had three hits and five RBIs, followed with a two-run single to give Harvard-Westlake the lead for good, 13-11.

Matt Thayer had four hits, including two home runs, for the Wolverines.

Notre Dame 6, St. Francis 4--Jonathon Brewster had a double and two runs batted in for Notre Dame (9-5, 7-2) in a Mission League game at Brookside Park in Pasadena.

Chatsworth 23, Taft 7--Jared Halpert had three hits, including a grand slam and a two-run double, for host Chatsworth (12-1-1, 7-0) in a West Valley League game that was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Gregg Wallis had three hits and four RBIs, and Brian Lee contributed a three-run home run and a run-scoring single for the Chancellors.

Aric Haut had three hits and three RBIs for Taft (2-12, 0-7).

Birmingham 1, Cleveland 0--Neil Morrow pitched a four-hitter and Junior Garcia hit a bases-loaded single in the seventh to lift Birmingham (8-6, 3-4) in a West Valley League game at Cleveland (5-9, 1-6).

El Camino Real 16, Granada Hills 6--Mike Leduc had two hits and two RBIs and Sean McElroy had two hits, including a triple, for El Camino Real (12-2, 7-0), which collected 16 hits in a West Valley League game at Granada Hills.

Jon Beal had two hits and two RBIs, and Casey Shaw had a home run and a single for Granada Hills (7-7, 3-4).

Kennedy 9, Van Nuys 0--Chad Shaw had three hits, including a run-scoring double, for Kennedy (10-7-1, 5-2) in a Valley Mission League game at Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park.

Hart 11, La Habra 0--Marke Horvat hit a grand slam to highlight a six-run second inning in a Babe Herman tournament game that was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule at Stengel Field in Glendale.

Eric Posthumus (6-0) allowed four hits and struck out seven for Hart (13-3).

Jamie Shields, who has not played this season because of a back injury, did not pitch.

Saugus 15, Azusa 5--Ryan Lindgreen had four hits and five RBIs and Wes Travis tripled twice and had three RBIs for Saugus (5-10-1) in a second-round game of the Gladstone tournament that was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule at Gladstone.

Channel Islands 14, Grace Brethren 6--Johnnny Virgen had three hits and one RBI and junior left-hander Brian Long (1-1) pitched a six-hitter with 13 strikeouts for host Channel Islands (9-6-1) in a Channel Islands-Oxnard tournament game.

Oxnard 6, Nordhoff 1--Matt Merricks and Francisco Lopez combined on a two-hitter for Oxnard (11-3) in a Channel Islands-Oxnard tournament game. Although the game was played at Oxnard, the Yellowjackets were the visitor.

Merricks allowed one run and two hits in six innings, striking out 11 and walking two.

Dan Beltran had two hits and one RBI for Oxnard.

Rio Mesa 6, Buena 4--Andrew Tinoco hit a three-run home run and Nick Barroso had two hits and an RBI for Rio Mesa (8-12) in a nonleague game at Buena (6-7).

Montclair Prep 10, Pacific Hills 0--Seth Epstein (4-1) pitched his second five-inning no-hitter of the season, struck out 14 and drove in two runs for the Mounties (8-5) in a Delphic League opener at the Mission Hills Senior Little League Complex.

L.A. Baptist 13, Kilpatrick 3--Josh Flynn’s grand slam highlighted a 10-run fourth inning in an Alpha League game at L.A. Baptist that was called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Brian Myers hit a two-run home run and Scott Swenson added a solo home run for L.A. Baptist (8-3-1, 2-0).
