Man Killed When His Pickup Hits Pole
A man was killed Tuesday when he lost control of his pickup truck on Pearblossom Highway and slammed into a pole.
The man was eastbound and towing a trailer as he approached 130th Street East just before 3 p.m., said Sgt. Ken Kyle of the Palmdale station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
As the light turned red, he braked so hard that the trailer jack-knifed and he lost control of his vehicle, Kyle said.
Firefighters were still struggling to free the unidentified victim from the wreckage Tuesday night.
