Rookie D’Alessio Uses 23 Putts to Lead LPGA’s Last Major of Year
Daniel Kush of Tustin won his first AJGA title, despite bogeying six holes in the final round of the Marsh Kansas City Junior tournament in Mission Hills, Kan.
Kush, a junior a Newport Harbor High, who had never placed higher than 14th in an AJGA event, shot a five-over 75 at the Kansas City Country Club, to finish with a 54-hole total of 216, three strokes ahead of Greg Johnson of Kansas City, Mo. and Kyle Awerkamp, of Quincy, Ill.
Kush stood at par through six holes in the final, and after the six bogeys, he closed out the tournament with his second birdie of the day on 18th.
