CS San Bernardino Signs Cypress’ Brown

Sharee Brown, the all-time leading rebounder and second-leading scorer at Cypress College, has accepted a scholarship to Cal State San Bernardino, a Cypress spokesman said.

Brown, a 6-foot center, averaged 17.8 points and 9.7 rebounds at Cypress. She was a two-time all Orange Empire Conference selection.

Santiago Canyon College will dedicate its soccer field, the college’s first athletic facility, at 8 a.m. Friday.

The event will be held adjacent to the soccer field and adjoining practice field at the campus, which is located at 8045 Chapman Ave., Orange.

The SCC men’s soccer team will play its first home game at 4 p.m. on Sept. 1 against Mt. San Antonio. The women’s team will play at 4 p.m. Sept. 5 against Glendale.
