Simi Valley 65, Camarillo 53--Jered Weaver scored 21 points, and Dustin Villepigue added 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Pioneers (4-0) to their sixth consecutive Simi Valley tournament championship at Simi Valley.

David Reichel scored 15 points for the Scorpions (3-1), who trailed, 29-24, at halftime.

Jared Jungwirth and Jimmy Alstot each had nine points for Camarillo.

Santa Margarita 65, Crespi 39--Guard Andrew Moore Kingsley scored 14 points for the Celts (2-1), who were limited to 25% shooting and lost the championship game of the San Luis Obispo tournament.

Lancaster 70, Antelope Valley 61--Michael Wright scored 14 points and Anthony Gamboa added 12 for the Eagles, who won the Rosamond tournament.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Harvard-Westlake 41, Antelope Valley 39--Kristal Fox missed a layup with two seconds left and Jaquana Young couldn’t make the follow shot for the Antelopes in the Antelope Valley tournament championship game.

All-Valley forward Karina Siam of Harvard-Westlake, the tournament’s most valuable player, scored seven of her 14 points in the fourth quarter, when the Wolverines (4-0) turned a 30-30 tie into a 40-32 lead.

The fifth-ranked Antelopes (3-1) scored the next seven points before Lyndsey Medders of Harvard-Westlake made a free throw with eight seconds left.

All-Valley guard Crystal McCutcheon of the Antelopes, who has signed with Pepperdine, made only one of four shots and scored four points before fouling out in the final minute.

Royal 61, Diamond Ranch 55--Ashley Alderton had 23 points, including seven three-point baskets, and Kinsley Mittel scored 22 to help the Highlanders (4-0) win the Monrovia tournament.

Ventura 59, Bakersfield 38--Jenni Dooley made six of 11 three-point shots and scored 20 points to help the Cougars win the Paso Robles tournament.

Katy O’Brien scored 10 of her 18 points in a 27-point second quarter for Ventura (3-0).

Chaminade 70, Brentwood 33--Christina Zdenek had 16 points and six assists as the Eagles (4-0) won the Fillmore tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING

Newbury Park tournament--Ryan Matheson of Simi Valley defeated Ramiro Ruiz of Hueneme, 8-7, for the 215-pound championship and the Pioneers edged Atascadero for the team title.
