In other boys’ basketball games:

Quartz Hill 76, Granada Hills 63--Tony Johnson scored 20 of his 27 points in the second half to lead the Rebels (4-2) to victory in pool play of the Canyon tournament.

Johnson, who had six rebounds, scored 13 of Quartz Hill’s 25 points in the third quarter.

Oxnard 70, Oak Park 48--Shamir Simmons scored 19 points and the Yellowjackets (4-2) won during pool play in the Thousand Oaks tournament.

Nicholas Curtis had 16 points and nine rebounds.

Jonathan Davis didn’t score but had eight assists and four steals.

Hoover 50, Burbank 41--Sophomore Armen Baghdassarian scored 13 points to help the Tornadoes in a nonleague victory at Hoover.

Baghdassarian hit three of five three-point shots and all four of his free throws for Hoover (2-2).

Grant 74, Channel Islands 66--Mike Charleston scored 17 of his 22 points in the first half of Grant’s pool-play victory in the Thousand Oaks tournament.

Gino Riney had 14 points, nine assists and eight steals for Grant (1-1), which made 23 of 27 free throws.

Manny Berrelleza of Channel Islands (2-2) scored 20 of his 26 points in the second half.

Monroe 56, Cleveland 49--Ramall Goodrich had 22 points and Gary Gyulyan added 17 for the Vikings (1-5) in a nonleague victory at Monroe.

Santa Paula 85, Hueneme 69--Ryan Frutos had 28 points and four steals in a nonleague victory for the Cardinals (4-1) at Hueneme (1-3).

Ernie Lopez had 15 points and Joe Mata had eight assists for Santa Paula.

Buena 73, Hart 51--Ryan Cobos and Chris Jacobsen each scored 17 points for the Bulldogs (3-3) in a first-round victory in the Beverly Hills tournament.

Buckley 71, Montclair Prep 58--Colin Ward-Henninger had 30 points and 13 rebounds, and Alex Clancy scored 11 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter for the Griffins (4-0) in a Montclair Prep tournament quarterfinal victory.
