Hart 60, Alemany 46--Freshman guard Brandi Kimble scored 10 of her 14 points in the second quarter and Hart broke away by outscoring Alemany, 23-7, in the quarter.
The score was tied, 10-10, after the first quarter.
Amanda Patton scored 18 points for Hart (4-0).
Anjannette Price had 13 for Alemany (1-1), including nine in the first quarter.
Buena 109, Highland 19--Courtney LaVere had 26 points and Kelly Greathouse added 24 points, nine rebounds and five steals for Buena, which set a tournament record for points in a game.
Buena scored 104 in the 1996 tournament.
Buena (2-0), ranked No. 1 in the region by The Times, got 13 points, nine assists and three steals from Courtney Young.
Highland (2-5) was held scoreless over a 12-minute, 54-second span through the second quarter and part of the third.
Ventura 78, Santa Clara 33--Katy O’Brien had 23 points, and Jenni Dooley hit four three-point baskets and finished with 18 points for the Cougars (4-0), the No. 4-ranked team in the region.
Ashley Biggins scored 10 points for Santa Clara (1-3).

North Torrance 66, North Hollywood 53--Anais Janoyan scored 13 points for the Huskies in a second-round game of the Valencia tournament.
Kaipresha Price had 11 points and Richelle Sherman added 10 for North Hollywood (2-1).
Burroughs 62, Royal 60--Freshman point guard Tulyah Gaines had 18 points and nine assists for Burroughs (1-1) in a Rio Mesa tournament first-round game.
Fabi Zavala, who scored 14 points, made a three-point basket with 10 seconds remaining to give Burroughs a 62-57 lead.
Royal is 4-1.
BOYS
Agoura 76, Kilpatrick 62--Johhny Gray had 20 points and five steals for the Chargers (6-0) in a second-round victory at the Montclair Prep tournament.
Keilon Fortune scored 29 for Kilpatrick.
Lompoc 100, Channel Islands 92--Manny Berrelleza scored 37 points but fouled out in the second of four overtimes as the Raiders lost in the Thousand Oaks tournament.
Alex Soliz of Channel Islands (2-3) scored eight of his 12 points after regulation.
