* CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS (1-4) at LONG BEACH STATE (4-4), 7:30, KPLS (830)--The 49ers got a jump on their Big West Conference opponents by defeating Idaho in two overtimes. They should win their second in a row against the struggling Toros, a Division II team. Senior forward Grant Stone has helped fill the loss of key inside players by grabbing 10 and 14 rebounds in the last two games. Junior Travis Reed also had 14 rebounds against Idaho. Michael Darrett, a junior college transfer, has won the point guard job with his solid play. He leads the Big West Conference in steals. Dominguez Hills has lost four in a row and is coming off losses to Cal State Bakersfield and Cal State Stanislaus. Jason Beyer is the Toros’ leading scorer at 14.8 a game.
