There Are Two Sides to Almost Every Story
Congratulations to Bill Plaschke on his Dec. 10 column on Viking Coach Dennis Green and owner Red McCombs. What a breath of fresh air!

As a transplanted Minnesotan with a Viking tattoo, I am appalled at Bill Plaschke’s lack of journalistic integrity. Following a trend of political correctness and far short on evidence, Mr. Plaschke stated that because Coach Dennis Green had a great regular-season track record, any past talk of firing him only could be due to “whispers” of racism.
Mr. Plaschke did not pursue the facts of a sexual harassment case settled against Green. Nor did he mention Green’s 3-7 playoff record or that he never has won more than one playoff game in a season. Or that Green choked in the 1998 NFC championship game against the Falcons.
We Viking fans don’t care what color our coach or players are--we just want to win a Super Bowl.
