FOUNTAIN VALLEY
An 87-year-old Fountain Valley woman who had been missing for two days was found Thursday at a local hospital. The woman, who suffers from dementia, was being treated for a minor foot injury and was scheduled to be released Thursday evening. The resident of Parkhurst Retirement home had been missing since Tuesday afternoon. Because of her diabetic condition, she was in need of her medications. She was at the hospital nearly the entire time authorities were searching for her, and officials are trying to find out why no one was notified earlier, a Police Department spokesman said.
