At the Sunset League finals: Esperanza wins--Travis Monson (130) upset top-seeded Jason Rallins of Edison, 4-1, to win at 130 pounds to help the Aztecs win the team title with 169 points. Edison was second with 134.
In the Sunset League girls’ water polo:
No. 4 Marina 4, No. 10 Los Alamitos 3 (OT)--Erin Wilson scored the game-winner in overtime for Marina (16-8, 4-1). Melanie Craig scored the tying goal late in the fourth quarter for Los Alamitos.
