Portland 56, Loyola Marymount 55--Troy Collins scored on a layup and a jumper in the final two minutes to lead the Pilots to a one-point victory at Gersten Pavilion, extending the Lions’ losing streak to 10 games.

Loyola (2-21, 0-10 WCC) remained winless against Division I opponents this season. The Lions, led by Pablo Machado’s 15 points and 14 rebounds, had a chance to win it, but point guard Stanley Thorne was called for traveling with four seconds to go to end the Lions’ chances against the Pilots (9-14, 3-7).
