After leading authorities on a 40-mile freeway pursuit, two men and a woman suspected of shooting a man during a botched home-invasion robbery in Lancaster gave themselves up early Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The injured man, whose name was not released, was shot twice in the upper body. He was airlifted to UCLA Medical Center, where he was in stable condition, said Sgt. Daniel Belland of the sheriff’s Lancaster station.

Sakar Tucker, 26, of Los Angeles; Charles Richmond, 27, of Hollywood; and Michelle Warnock, 28, of Long Beach were booked on suspicion of attempted murder, attempted robbery and burglary, authorities said. The suspects are being held at the Lancaster station in lieu of $1-million bail.

At least two people forced their way into a home in the 2300 block of Rosewood Avenue in Lancaster about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Lt. Richard Lichten said.

The intruders demanded money, shot the resident and fled, Belland said.

The suspects’ vehicle headed toward Santa Clarita on the Antelope Valley Freeway, exited at Sand Canyon Road near Canyon Country, returned to the freeway and headed back toward Lancaster, with deputies from the Lancaster and Santa Clarita stations in pursuit, Belland said.

The suspects drove to the 44000 block of 11th Street East and then surrendered, Lichten said.
