Bryan Could Avenge Loss

Share

Monroe High School wrestler Arthur Bryan could get a chance to avenge his only loss of the season during today’s San Fernando tournament.

The 215-pound Bryan, who is 29-1 with 25 pins, lost to John Cordero of Mira Costa, 7-0, in the final of the North Torrance tournament two weeks ago.

“I wasn’t wrestling to my full capabilities in the final of the North Torrance tournament,” Bryan said. “[At San Fernando] I expect to wrestle to my full capabilities.”

Mira Costa is entered in the tournament, which is held to honor former San Fernando coach Sam DeJohn.

Preliminary bouts start at 10:30 a.m.
