Santa Margarita Beats Servite by 41

Sophomore guard Travis Smith scored 21 points and junior guard R.J. Socci and senior center Ryan Stacey added 14 each to lead No. 8 Santa Margarita to an 85-44 Serra League victory over visiting Servite Friday night.
Stacey, who is 6 feet 6, won the opening tip against Servite’s 6-11 sophomore, Martin Iti, and the Eagles went on to build a 26-11 first-quarter lead.
Servite (13-7, 1-2) turned the ball over 13 times in the first half.
Smith made 10 of 12 field-goal attempts in the game. Socci had six assists and Stacey added seven rebounds for the Eagles (16-4, 1-2).
