Waves Defeated, 3-1, by Vancouver 86ers

John Sulentic scored twice for Vancouver to help lead the 86ers to a 3-1 victory over the Orange County Waves in an A League soccer game Wednesday at West Valley High in Hemet.

Sulentic, who scored in the 22nd and 51st minutes, moved up to forward from his usual spot in the midfielder.

Kevin Holness added the insurance goal in the 86th minute off an assist from Dominic Mobilio.

The victory moves the 86ers from the Pacific Division cellar to a tie for third with the Seattle Sounders, both with 16 points. The Waves (7-6) remain in second place behind the San Diego Flash.
