City officials say they will welcome any input from teenagers who are putting together an advisory group for the City Council.

“Obviously you can’t approve everything everyone asks for,” said Councilwoman Cathryn DeYoung, “but we’d be happy to listen to them.”

The advisory group, being organized by about a dozen Dana Hills High School students who live in Laguna Niguel, got its start after the students helped form a similar board in Dana Point, where teenagers felt left out of City Council decisions.
