The City Council recently voted to deny Cottonwood Christian Center a temporary use permit. The permit would have enabled the church to set up a tent for Easter service at Walker Street and Katella Avenue.
The council made it clear that it wasn’t anti-church but said it wasn’t in the city’s best interest to allow church activity where the city is trying to lure business development.
