Trial Set in Slaying of Los Lobos Member’s Wife
A May 5 trial date has been set for Gabriel Gomez, who is accused of killing his half sister, the wife of Los Lobos band member Cesar Rosas.
Gomez, 39, of Whittier faces charges of capital murder and kidnapping in connection with the Oct. 23 disappearance of Sandra Rosas from her Rowland Heights home. A West Covina judge ruled there was enough evidence to require Gomez to stand trial, even though police have yet to find her body.
Authorities found Gomez inside a Whittier bar the day after Rosas disappeared. The next day, police found Rosas’ van abandoned in La Puente, with bloodstains linked to Rosas and Gomez.
