A mile-long stretch of Doheny State Beach reopened last week after the beach was hit with 12,000 gallons of sewage that spilled into Oso Creek from a Rancho Ministries sewer line in San Juan Capistrano.
But warning signs remain on the beach due to high levels of enterococcus bacteria, said Monica Mazur, a spokeswoman for the Orange County Health Care Agency.
Mazur said that she is not sure when the signs will be removed but that water-quality tests are being conducted every week.
