* Update--The Wranglers have already played one of the Arena Football League’s most exciting games, defeating San Jose, 68-64, on April 21 in a contest that featured 13 lead changes. Wrangler quarterback (and L.A. native) Ron Lopez passed for seven touchdowns and ran for another. Avenger quarterback Scott Semptimphelter had six touchdown passes in the loss to Carolina. Oklahoma leads the league in scoring at 65 points a game, but is also giving up 57.5. In their two losses, the Avengers have averaged 40.5 points and are giving up 54.5. Avenger lineman Joe Burgos (sprained ankle) will miss at least two games.
