Jensen Latest to Quit Irvine Basketball
Jens Jensen, a 6-foot-5 guard, has left the UC Irvine men’s basketball team, an athletic department source said Tuesday.
Jensen played one season for the Anteaters, appearing in 23 games with two starts and averaging two points.
Jensen, who is from Denmark, played two seasons at San Jose College before coming to Irvine. He is the seventh scholarship player in three seasons to leave the Anteater program.
In other Anteater news, Aras Baskauskas has been given a scholarship. Baskauskas, a walk-on from Santa Monica High, was a redshirt last season. Baskauskas, a 6-3 guard, averaged 14 points and six assists as a senior at Santa Monica.
