In the Academy League:

Liberty Christian 11, Santa Monica New Roads 10--Liberty Christian scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth for the victory. Mike Spagnola singled home Nick Harbert and then consecutive wild pitches allowed Spagnola and Adam Bruno to score for the Minutemen (5-9-1, 4-5).

In other Century League games:

El Modena 5, Santa Ana Valley 3--Jason Sanada drove in three runs, and Brock Kyler gave up three hits in six innings for host El Modena (9-14, 5-7).

Foothill 12, Orange 2 (6, mercy)--Chad Bigler had three hits with two RBIs and Brett Twomey had two hits with three RBIs. Phil Alderson added an RBI-double for the host Knights (14-9, 8-4).

In the Olympic League:

Calvary Chapel 4, Sierra Madre Maranatha 3--Kyle Christensen singled in Josh Graves with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to win the game. Christensen also pitched a complete game for the Eagles (15-7, 9-3).

Whittier Christian 6, Orange Lutheran 5 (9)--Joey Conrad’s sacrifice fly with no outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth scored Anthony Ruiz with the winning run for host Whittier Christian (12-8, 8-4). Peter Eberhardt pitched four scoreless innings in relief for the victory.

In the Pacific Coast League:

No. 4 University 14, Corona del Mar 3 (5, mercy)--Jay Nichols hit a two-run home run in the third and a run-scoring double in the fifth to lead the Trojans (18-4, 9-0) at Corona del Mar. Billy Eagle hit his first home run of the season for Corona del Mar (12-9, 5-4).
