Eisner Son Long Way From Disneyland

* Amazing how we can make light of Eric Eisner’s Web site [“Eisner’s Son Makes Hollywood Debut, but Not on Prime Time,” Heard on the Beat, April 19]: Animated shows mocking the disabled. Man slashing his pregnant girlfriend. Shades of Ted Bundy. Father Eisner’s comments, “Other than to confirm that Eric has red hair and great personality, I have no other comment. Well, just one. He is also very smart.” But Mr. Eisner left out one more adjective: Sick.

I read with a great deal of dismay Eric Eisner’s foray into Computerland (yes, he’s a long way from his daddy’s Disneyland) with his new Web site.
How sad to think this young man, who probably is one of the most fortunate ever to have been born on this planet, would choose as his initial offering the depiction of cross burning, defecation and the slashing of a pregnant woman. And this is just a part of the sick, depraved arena of his new business.
What is even sadder is there are investors out there who would shell out $15 million to back this venture.

I may be poor by Eisner family standards, but having returned tonight from volunteer coaching of mentally disabled Special Olympic athletes, I will get down on my knees before going to bed and thank God for the “riches” and values my parents instilled in me--values that Eric Eisner, despite all his material riches, is sadly lacking.
