THE SAFETY ZONE: ACTION LOG

The Times publishes a daily list of police incident reports provided by local law enforcement agencies. The Times prints items as soon as departments make them available. Because many departments release incident reports only weekly, not every community will be represented in each day’s Action Log. Authorities from the following cities released incident reports Wednesday:

BREA

* South Brea Boulevard: A grand theft was reported in the 600 block at 6:39 p.m. Tuesday.

DANA POINT

* Via Catalina: Deputies broke up a landlord-tenant dispute in the 34000 block at 8:45 a.m. Sunday.

* Via Verde: Deputies responded to a report of loud music, but did not hear any, in the 34000 block at 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

* Avenida Victoria: A woman reported a man exposed himself to her at the beach in the 600 block at 3:15 p.m. Monday. Deputies could not find the man.

FULLERTON

* East Commonwealth Avenue: A grand theft was reported in the 1100 block at 7:31 p.m. Tuesday.

* Gingerwood Circle: A burglary was reported in the 2900 block at 1:12 p.m. Tuesday.

* Ruby Drive: A petty theft was reported in the 2900 block at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday.

GARDEN GROVE

* Harbor Boulevard: A report of aggravated mayhem in the 12500 block at 5:45 p.m. Friday. A man met an acquaintance at a bar and apparently told a joke the acquaintance didn’t like. The man left the bar later and was confronted by the acquaintance who bear-hugged the man and bit off his ear. The man collected his ear and transported himself to Fountain Valley Hospital for treatment. The acquaintance has not been located.

* Morningside Avenue: An attempted kidnapping occurred in the 12700 block at 8:56 p.m. Friday. A 13-year-old girl was riding her bike near the carport of an apartment complex when a man attempted to pull her off her bike. The girl resisted, punching the man twice. He released her. The man ran to his vehicle and fled. Police were unable to find the man or his vehicle.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Agate Street: A man was hospitalized after being in a two-car accident near Glenneyre Street at 6:47 p.m. Tuesday.

* Chillon Way: A man reported his house was vandalized for the second time in the 100 block at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday. Trash and debris were left on the driveway.

* South Coast Highway: Three people reportedly stole a 12-pack of beer from a grocery store in the 30000 block at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday.

* South Coast Highway: A couple reported their son charged $279 to their bank card without permission in the 1000 block at 1:24 p.m. Tuesday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* El Toro Road: Personal items and stereo equipment were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 24000 block at 12:35 a.m. Saturday.

* Laguna Hills Mall: $4,000 worth of women’s clothing was reported stolen from a store in the 24000 block at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

LA HABRA

* South Harbor Boulevard: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 600 block at 4:19 a.m. Wednesday.

* North Rocking Horse Lane: A burglary was reported in the 1400 block at 1:58 a.m. Wednesday.

LAKE FOREST

* Calle Gruta: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 21200 block at 12:49 a.m. Tuesday.

* El Toro Road: A petty theft was reported in the 23400 block at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Carlota: Computer equipment and $3,800 were reported stolen from a business in the 24000 block at 9:30 a.m. Monday.

PLACENTIA

* Bastanchury Road at Kraemer Boulevard: Six male juveniles were videotaping traffic and contacting passing vehicles to ask crude questions at 7:23 p.m. Tuesday.

* Kraemer Boulevard at Blue Ridge Drive: Police responded to complaints about construction noise north of the location. Officers found it was the water company working on a problem at 10:12 p.m. Tuesday.

* Walnut Avenue at Central Avenue: Two juveniles on violation of truancy were transported back to Kraemer Junior High School and the Estuary School at 9:19 a.m. Tuesday.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Calle de Industrias: A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance after deputies reportedly found some cocaine and Ecstasy pills in his car in the 100 block at 4:45 a.m. Monday.

* Calle Puente: A man was cited on suspicion of having an open container of alcohol in public at Max Berg Park in the 100 block at 8:35 p.m. Monday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Avenida Mariposa: A woman reported receiving annoying phone calls from a telemarketer demanding she pay a previous pledge in the 25000 block at 10:20 a.m. Sunday.

* Camino Capistrano: A truck sideswiped a parked tour bus, causing minor damage to both vehicles, in front of Mission San Juan Capistrano near Ortega Highway at 11:05 a.m. Sunday.

TUSTIN

* Livingston Street: A burglar alarm was triggered in the 14000 block at 11:23 p.m. Tuesday.

VILLA PARK

* Alta Drive: A burglar alarm was triggered in the 17000 block at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday.

YORBA LINDA

* Mount Rainier Way: A petty theft was reported in the 27900 block at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday.

* Portsmouth Road: A petty theft was reported in the 5800 block at 12:31 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities from the following cities did not release incident reports: Anaheim, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Irvine, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Newport Beach, Orange, Santa Ana, Seal Beach and Westminster.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department makes incident reports available on the Web. Go to https://www.ocsd.org and click on “Sheriff’s Blotter.” Incident reports are updated every few minutes and cover the cities of Dana Point, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Stanton and Villa Park, as well as the county’s unincorporated areas.
