Fullback Steven Diaz rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns in only four carries as Tustin rolled over Westminster, 71-0, in a Golden West League game Thursday at Tustin High.

Tustin (9-1, 4-0), which has won four consecutive league titles, won its other league games by scores of 81-22, 71-7 and 57-21. Westminster (3-6-1, 2-2) will join the Tillers in the Division VI playoffs beginning next week.

Diaz had touchdown runs of 79, 76 and 63 yards in his first three carries and a 14-yard gain in the third quarter that lowered his average to 58 yards per carry. Tustin had 595 yards rushing and 125 yards passing--720 total--and averaged 15.3 yards per play.

Leading 43-0 at the half, the Tillers did not let up. Quarterback David Miller completed five of five passes for 125 yards--including touchdown passes of 55 and 23 yards to Chris Chester--in the third quarter. Normally a tight end, Chester filled in at wing back for David Miller, who did not play because of disciplinary reasons. Chester had seven carries for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

The Tustin defense made five sacks and held Westminster to a minus-16 yards rushing. Diaz had three sacks and Matt McCoy had two sacks and an interception.
