Fremont 42, Canoga Park 22--The host Pathfinders (7-5) built a 14-0 lead before Canoga Park was able to run a play from scrimmage in a game that was delayed 25 minutes.
Canoga Park (8-4) didn’t arrive until 25 minutes before kickoff.
Fremont scored on the opening drive, recovered an onside kick, then scored on a 16-yard pass from Abe Escobar to Kenneth Eatman with 3:02 left in the first quarter.
Escobar completed 14 of 21 passes for 270 yards and four touchdowns. Eatman scored three touchdowns, catching two and running for one, and the Pathfinders built a 28-0 halftime lead.
Canoga Park scored on three consecutive possessions in the second half. Emerson Landaverde scored on a one-yard run to cut Fremont’s lead to 35-22 with 10:47 to play. Jeremy Egan completed nine of 15 for 169 and a touchdown.
