Palm Desert 12, No. 4 Woodbridge 6--Elizabeth Exon, Woodbridge’s No. 1 singles player, dropped her first set against Palm Desert’s Jennifer Baker, 5-7, but came back to win her next two sets, 6-0, 6-1. Woodbridge dropped to 13-4. Palm Desert is 14-0.

Newport Harbor 16, No. 10 Edison 2--Kelly Nelson and Megan Hawkins both swept in singles for host Newport Harbor (10-4), which took eight of nine sets in singles and doubles. Nelson swept, 6-2, 6-3, 6-0 and Hawkins won, 6-0, 7-5, 6-0.
