Capistrano Valley Christian 40, Fairmont 6--The Eagles (6-2, 3-0) used big plays and a swarming defense to defeat Fairmont at Glover Stadium.

Jamie Bray ran for 170 yards in 11 carries, scoring two touchdowns. The Eagle passing game also produced, with quarterback Jason Ward completing three touchdown passes to Ryan Andrews. Andrews had four receptions for 123 yards.

After Garret Day’s one-yard touchdown run opened the scoring, Nathan Van Schaack blocked a punt on Fairmont’s next possession. Four plays later, Ward connected with Andrews on a 24-yard touchdown pass to make it 14-0, then Ward found Andrews again, this time for a 43-yard scoring pass, to give the Eagles a 20-0 first-quarter lead.

Bray scored on runs of 17 and 49 yards in the second quarter for the Eagles.

Justin Harris scored on a 46-yard run for Fairmont (2-4, 1-2) and defensive end Naseek Kazi recorded five tackles for losses, including two sacks.
