Bobby Engram, who led the Chicago Bears with a career-high 88 catches last season, will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a 14-7 loss to the New York Giants.

Engram, who also tore cartilage in the knee, suffered the injury after catching a nine-yard pass in the second quarter. He will be replaced by Eddie Kennison.

Bear center Olin Kreutz is probably out for this Sunday’s game against Detroit and perhaps the following week at Green Bay after spraining a knee.
