Pryce Stays With Denver
Tackle Trevor Pryce became one of the NFL’s top-paid defensive players Wednesday when he re-signed with the Denver Broncos for $60 million over seven years.
The deal includes a signing bonus worth nearly $11 million.
“I wanted to play here the rest of my career,” the 6-foot-5, 295-pound Pryce said. “I love the city. I love the people. This is an ideal situation for me and my family.”
Pryce, who was in the final year of his five-year, $4.9-million contract, was rewarded with a revamped deal after appearing in his second consecutive Pro Bowl.

Washington Redskin owner Dan Snyder says he underwent surgery three weeks ago to have a cancerous thyroid removed and has been told by his doctors he is now cancer-free. Snyder said he underwent the surgery April 4 at the George Washington University Medical Center and resumed work a day later.

Running back Curtis Enis, a former first-round draft pick who had hoped to resurrect his career with the Cleveland Browns, retired Wednesday because of a degenerative condition in his left knee. . . . A nearly two-month pursuit of safety Damien Robinson ended when the New York Jets signed the free agent. Robinson, 27, who played the last four seasons for Tampa Bay, signed a five-year deal worth just under $10 million. . . . Cornerback Walt Harris agreed to a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears.
