Nowitzki Lifts Dallas

Dirk Nowitzki scored seven of his 32 points in overtime as the Dallas Mavericks became the first visiting team to win at Arco Arena this season, defeating the Sacramento Kings, 120-114, Sunday night.

Peja Stojakovic of Sacramento was fouled with two-tenths of a second left in regulation by Nowitzki. He made the first free throw, but missed the second, sending the game into overtime tied, 105-105.

Nowitzki, who had 14 rebounds and three blocked shots, scored the first four points in overtime as the Mavericks won for the sixth time in seven games and avenged a loss to the Kings on Thursday at Dallas.

Steve Nash scored a season-high 31 points and Michael Finley had 19 points and seven assists.

Seattle 97, Milwaukee 83--Gary Payton scored 21 points and Brent Barry had 13 points and 10 assists at Seattle as the SuperSonics dealt the Bucks their fourth consecutive defeat.

Every Seattle starter scored in double figures.

Ray Allen scored 26 points for the Bucks, who were winless on their four-game West Coast trip.

Memphis 93, Philadelphia 87--Rookie Pau Gasol made four free throws in the final 24 seconds as the Grizzlies earned their first road victory this season.

Gasol’s free throws capped a 20-point, 10-rebound performance and ended the Grizzlies’ 10-game losing streak against the 76ers.

Philadelphia’s Allen Iverson shot one for nine in the fourth quarter, missed 12 of his final 15 shots and finished with 30 points and 10 assists.

Boston 85, Toronto 69--Antoine Walker scored 17 points at Toronto, and Boston held the Raptors to a franchise-worst nine points in the fourth quarter.

Kenny Anderson had 14 points and seven assists for the Celtics, who finished their trip with four consecutive victories.

Vince Carter had 17 points for the Raptors.
