Local Latino Politics
Frank del Olmo does a great service for all residents of L.A. County by bringing our attention to the despotic politics in our southeastern cities (“Latino Activists Should Not Ignore the Dirty Pols,” Commentary, Dec. 9). These Latino communities are being victimized by Latinos. Maria Chacon and her cronies have ruined Bell Gardens. They have squandered the city’s money and give the illusion of caring for the community by putting on “bread and circus” events throughout the year (with an occasional real circus brought in!). Please drive by the Bell Gardens City Hall to see the wasted money on holiday decorations.
