Oak Park Clinches Tri-Valley Title

Holly Stewart scored 28 points and Oak Park High clinched its first Tri-Valley League championship since 1994 with a 60-53 victory over St. Bonaventure on Tuesday night at Oak Park.

Michelle Bregar scored 18 points and helped seal the victory with five free throws in the fourth quarter for the Eagles (18-5, 9-0 in league play).

Ashley Garza led St. Bonaventure (14-5, 4-2) with 18 points.

Canyon 78, Valencia 68--Courtney Koenig scored seven of her 19 points for Canyon in overtime of a Foothill League game at Valencia.

Erica Doyle had 18 points and five steals for Canyon (15-10, 4-5). Katie Holdaway had 10 points and eight rebounds. Valerie Pena had 20 points for Valencia (19-5, 6-3).

Saugus 48, Hart 42--Brusta Brown had 13 points and six assists to help visiting Saugus clinch its first share of a Foothill League championship.

Sheridan Arredondo and Jessi Loring each scored 12 for the Centurions (20-4, 7-2), who were helped in their championship quest by Canyon’s victory at Valencia.

Burroughs 58, Burbank 37--Fabi Zavala scored 17 points and the Indians swept the season series in a Foothill League game at Burbank.

Sara Larquier had nine rebounds and five steals for Burroughs (13-12, 5-4).

Santa Paula 66, Nordhoff 38--Rachael Kolbeck had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Sarah Ruiz had 22 points and 10 steals for the visiting Cardinals (17-5, 7-0), who clinched a share of the Frontier League title.

Santa Paula, which had 39 steals, can win the title outright with a victory Thursday at Santa Clara, which is 6-1 in league play.

Paraclete 51, L.A. Baptist 38--Jackie Kolesar had 25 points, 11 rebounds and five steals for the host Spirits (12-12, 6-1), who clinched a share of the Alpha League title.

Kelly Feirfeil scored 20 points for the Knights (10-9, 5-3).

Harvard-Westlake 54, Alemany 40--Nyasha Bralock had 12 points, and Chantal Kazay had eight points and 10 rebounds for host Harvard-Westlake (21-5, 9-0) in a Mission League game.

Chaminade 60, Flintridge Sacred Heart 30--Cynthia Lai scored 15 points, Jackie Hite had 10 rebounds and Amy Bissinger had six blocked shots for the host Eagles (18-4, 6-3) in a Mission League victory.

Notre Dame 58, Louisville 46--Sierra Hauser-Price had 21 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for the Knights in a Mission League victory at Notre Dame.

Jessica Mundy had 12 points and a season-high 23 rebounds, and Nikki Imaromna had 15 points, seven assists and five steals for the Knights (13-12, 6-3).

Montclair Prep 65, Pacific Hills 33--Eshaya Murphy had 34 points and 28 rebounds, and Jasmine Wesley had 21 points and 16 rebounds for the host Mounties (21-0, 9-0) in a Delphic League game.
