* PEPPERDINE (15-6, 7-1) at SAN DIEGO (12-9, 4-4), 7--This is the first of four consecutive road games for Pepperdine, which must play catch-up in the West Coast Conference race after losing Friday to Gonzaga. The Waves bounced back to force 25 turnovers in a victory over Portland on Saturday and have won nine of 10. Long-range shooting specialist Craig Lewis finally appears to be fully recovered from an ankle injury. Guard Brandon Armstrong is averaging 24.5 points in WCC games and has scored at least 29 points in five of the Waves’ last 10 games. San Diego was expected to challenge for the title because every player returned from last season’s 20-9 team.
