Birmingham (9-10) made a late-season surge to finish tied for third in the West Valley League and earn the No. 6 seeding in the City Invitational tournament. The Patriots won three consecutive games.
“They’re playing together well as a team,” Coach Al Bennett said.
Birmingham has one of the region’s most promising freshmen. Jordan Farmar, a 5-9 guard, is averaging 7.7 points.
