Fullerton-Loyola Baseball Game Rained Out

The Cal State Fullerton-Loyola Marymount baseball game was postponed Tuesday because of rain and has been rescheduled for tonight at 6 at the Titans’ Goodwin Field.

The Titans host Brigham Young in a three-game series beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Scheduled to throw out the first pitch before the 7 p.m. game Friday is Ron Hauczinger, the bench coach at Cypress College, who is undergoing treatment for a brain tumor. He will sit on the Titan bench during the game.

Hauczinger, 33, played for Titan Coach George Horton at Cerritos College and was an assistant at Cerritos under Dave Serrano, the Titans’ pitching coach. Hauczinger also is a former assistant at Loyola.

“He has been an inspiration to a lot of players,” Serrano said, “and we’re doing this to help lift his spirits.”
