CITY SECTION GIRLS’ BASKETBALL PLAYOFF ROUNDUP
In City Invitational quarterfinals:
Granada Hills 54, Palisades 48--The Highlanders switched defenses every trip down the court and outscored the No. 3-seeded Dolphins, 18-6, in the fourth quarter at Palisades.
Kelly Patterson had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Kelly Beckler had 14 points for Granada Hills (15-12), which plays at Marshall in a semifinal Friday.
Emily Fischer scored 15 for the No. 3-seeded Dolphins (7-12).
El Camino Real 67, King-Drew 37--Karen Shun scored 12 points in the second quarter to help the No. 1-seeded Conquistadores pull away at El Camino Real.
Shun finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Conquistadores, who led at halftime, 35-18.
Lindsay Goldblatt had nine points and six assists for El Camino Real (16-7), which hosts No. 5-seeded Garfield in a semifinal.
Marshall 37, Sylmar 35--The Spartans (11-15) were eliminated by the No. 2-seeded Barristers at Marshall.
