Dana Hills Students Off to Inauguration
More than 30 students from Dana Hills High School will leave for Washington on Saturday to witness the presidential inauguration.
The Close Up Foundation is sponsoring the eight-day government workshop for the Dana Hills students, who are mostly seniors studying government, and students from 10 other California school districts.
The foundation has sponsored the event for the last 10 years, and students from Dana Hills and the Capistrano Unified School District have participated the last four years.
While in Washington, students will witness President-elect George W. Bush’s inauguration and visit the White House, State Department, Congress and the George Washington monument, among other historical sites.
For more information about the event, call Principal James Walshe at (949) 496-6666.
