Boise St. 79, Long Beach St. 77--Kejuan Woods scored 22 points, including five in overtime, for host Boise State in a Big West Conference game.
Delvin Armstrong put the Broncos ahead, 79-77, with a free throw with 3.7 seconds left in overtime. Long Beach State had a final chance, but Michael Darrett’s three-point basket at the buzzer bounced off the back of the rim.
Boise State’s Booker Nabors gave the Broncos a 70-68 lead with 7.6 seconds left in regulation. Ron Johnson countered with a field goal for the 49ers to tie the score, 70-70, with 3.1 seconds remaining.
Nabors and Abe Jackson each scored 15 points for Boise State (10-7, 2-2). Ramel Lloyd had 17 points for the 49ers (8-8, 2-2), and Travis Reed added 15.
The 49ers out-rebounded Boise State 47-39, but committed 28 turnovers.
