Kuznetsov Wins in San Diego
Andrey Kuznetsov won the men’s division and Alena Vinitskaya was the first woman across the finish line Sunday in the San Diego Marathon.
Kuznetsov, who lives in Rockville, Md., was timed in 2 hours 17 minutes 39 seconds. Vinitskaya, from Belarus, finished in 2:49.20.
In the men’s competition, Danny Gough of Portsmouth, R.I., finished second in 2:18.57, and Darrell General of Bowie, Md., was third in 2:21.23.
Mary Burns-Prine of San Diego was second behind Vinitskaya, finishing in 2:57.30. Suzanne Morris of Encinitas was third in 3:01.49.
