A 28-year-old man was killed late Wednesday when he stepped in front of a moving car on a Laguna Hills street, authorities said.

The man, whose identity was not released, suffered severe head injuries about 9:15 p.m. near the Laguna Hills Mall, said Orange County Sheriff's Lt. Larry Abbott.
