With Mark Kotsay and Ryan Klesko, the San Diego Padres are tough to beat when they come to Enron Field.

Kotsay and Klesko each drove in two runs as the Padres beat the Houston Astros, 7-4, Thursday to break a five-game losing streak and remain unbeaten in seven games at Enron Field.

The Padres ended Houston’s four-game winning streak as Kotsay and Klesko continued their mastery of Astro pitching.

Klesko had two hits and is hitting .500 with six homers and 18 RBIs against Houston this year. Kotsay had three hits and is batting .483 against the Astros.

Bobby Jones (5-12) gave up four runs and seven hits in five innings to get the win. Trevor Hoffman pitched the ninth for his 17th save in 19 attempts.

Jeff Bagwell and Tony Eusebio hit home runs for the Astros, but Lance Berkman went hitless in two at-bats with a walk and a sacrifice fly to end his 21-game hitting streak.

“This game doesn’t bother me that much,” Astro manager Larry Dierker said. “There are 50 games you’re going to win, 50 you’re going to lose and the others decide your fate. This was a game we were going to lose.”
