Police Fatally Wound Suspected Robber, 27
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Oxnard police shot and killed a robbery suspect early Friday morning at a mid-town doughnut shop, which had recently been hit by a series of robberies.
Larry Brown, 27, was shot during the 2 a.m. robbery attempt at Posters’ Donuts on West Magnolia Avenue, police said.
Police had the shop under surveillance because they believed Brown was responsible for five previous robberies in the last month.
