Swim Lake Reopens With 2 New Slides
Two new water slides were added to the swim lake at the Hansen Dam Park Recreation Area, which reopened Wednesday.
The bottom of the man-made lake at 11798 Foothill Blvd. was also repaired to prevent leaking, said city Department of Recreation and Parks spokesman Harvey Drut.
The 1 1/2-acre complex, which is surrounded by sand, also has a volleyball court, picnic and grass areas, jogging paths and equestrian trails.
It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Children 17 and younger and seniors 65 and older are admitted free to the swim lake.
Others pay $1.25 per day.
A package of 10 swimming lessons is available for $1.
