Five Area Teams in Soccer Championships

Five teams from Southern California will be among 48 boys’ and girls’ club teams competing at the Snickers U.S. Youth Soccer National Championships beginning today in Indiana.

Local teams are the Dana Point-based Southern California Blues girls’ under-17 and girls’ under-16; the San Diego Surf girls’ under-18, and the Irvine Strikers boys’ under-16 and boys’ under-15 teams. The Blues’ under-17 team and the Surf are seeking back-to-back titles.
